Post by: Lazlo on July 20, 2016, 03:49:16 PM
So my dr. listed he will do a saggital split ramus osteotomy on me.

What is that exactly and is it any different from a BSSO? or am i just confused?

Not positive but I think it's just another name for BSSO.

Isn't the ramus the segment that runs vertically on the mandible?  This would suggest a different cut, a cut along the vertical portion of the mandible instead of the horizontal.  Right?
