Imagine this simple scenario:
Your occlusion is strong, stable, your apnea solved, your thrust solved BLA BLA BLA.
however, your face is as ugly/uglier than before surgery.
WHAT THE HECK DO YOU DO? what are the options? suicide?
-
plastic surgery. I'm closer to borderline than deformed like you are, so we have less to gain aesthetically it would seem. That's why you do your research and cover all bases before proceeding with surgery. I doubt you will end up looking worse but it does happen as those recent pekay examples showed
I was recently told that my nose is my best feature which absolutely sucks in light of needing upper jaw surgery. I won't trade a good nose for an average jaw so I will look until I find a surgeon and process that preserves it

Euphoria...plastic surgery of WHAT!
Come on, if jaw surgery is full of bulls**t IMAGINE how much plastic surgery is! don't be stupid.
i think my only option would be suicide, and i don't know if this is cool.

you're concerned about your midface right? Ha augmentation seems to do most of that work (see Antbee's results)
and as falcoa pointed out forward projection of the cheekbones isn't crucial to attractiveness

my cheeckbones are fine. im concerned theyll be worse post surgery.
my plan does not involve grafting

well get grafting after surgery if you're unsatisfied with them... I'm not seeing the issue?
they most likely will be worse post-op with advancement/ccw

f**kin hell!!
euphoria, i'm planning on moving on with my life. additional surgery is not free, it costs, it has its risk and its so f**kin vain .
Im tired of correcting s**t in my face. I want all to go smoothly, once.
i can't become a surgery freak.

we all do.
unfortunately that's not the way an unpredictable surgery like orthognathic works

WHY DID I DO THIS?
-
yeah, apnea.
I'd take apnea all my life and solve it with a Cpap or something else if the tradeoff is becoming UGLY AS f**k
-
you're going to look good man you're just going through pre-surgery anxiety, i imagine it's nerve racking as s**t, feelings of regret, etc
-
you imagine well.
Im paying for this...they should pay me...guys when you're at the end it becomes nasty

I regret my double jaw surgery immensely. I was a beautiful girl with a mild underbite, but suffered from sever TMJD pain, so was advised to have the surgery. Double jaw, palate expansion, genioplasty, and now I look like a mutant. I use to have abeUtifuk smile... But now, after $20,000 in orthodontics, you can't even see my upper teeth because they moved everything too far back and up. Now I look like a toothless 80 year old woman. And my nose, which I loved and was often complimented on is now a pancake with huge nostrils and I can barely breathe properly anymore. And all of that to alleviate my TMJD pain... Well guess what... It's WORSE now...

What surgeries did he get? (I'm sure there must be a way to navigate through this user's old posts to see what they've published on their surgeries but I'm new to this website and cannot find that feature....)
