Title: Worth flying to top surgeon vs. local? Genioplasty

Hi all,

I'm currently in debates. I have the option to fly into see someone like jamali or gunson for a sliding genioplasty, or I can go to someone local. For a trivial surgery such as a genioplasty, is it worth flying out of town for surgery?

Also, any recommendations for surgeons in the san francisco bay area?

If it's a very standard genioplasty no.

If you're looking for something more specific like adding height, using grafts, adding width etc. you should go to a reputable surgeon.

I wish I did the second option to get all of it done right at once in 1 go, now I'm gonna have to get a second try.

Don't know where you got the idea that it's a "trivial surgery".
