well they may try it but I agree with you now way that a head transplant will work. I actually have some pretty strong scientific and philosophical reasons why it will fail. While certainly many aspects of our motor and cognitive control and abilities is centred in the "brain" which is in the skull, I believe, along with some other thinkers that "consciousness" is distributed across the body --that it is  somatic in a very deep and integral sense.
