Title: Is a sliding genioplasty and "side wing" possible simultaneously?
Post by: Millis on February 19, 2017, 11:24:39 PM
Patient information: Quite a decent starting point, not recessed, normal bite, some would even call my jaw and chin "strong", but I'm insecure with money to blow.

I would like a vertically longer ramus with stronger gonial angle, as well as a more prominent (but not vertically taller) chin, with deeper mental fold

I have looked at the chin wing, and whilst it seems ideal, it is seemingly unable to improve a gonial angle, in fact it is supposedly detrimental.

I have scarcely read of the "side wing" procedure. Could this be done with a sliding genioplasty, whilst retaining a straight jawline? Or would it be physically impossible?

Thank You.

Yes it can be done together
