Say I had a ZSO osteotomy and had plates and screws up near my infra-orbital area...
Would I be able to have infraorbital rim implants fitted afterwards, without having to remove the plates? Maybe the plates in a ZSO aren't high enough for it to be an issue?
Thank You

this is really a question for the specific surgeon who will be doing the work for you
My guess is it would depend on the exact location and the type of material used. My further guess is they would probably want to remove the plates before attempting augmentation.

i was told it was not an issue by a reputable surgeon

For what reason did they explain it to not be an issue, if I may ask?

Did you remove your screws and plates 6 months after zso and if not, why?
