Title: What surgeries do I need, from frontal view?
Post by: idk on June 29, 2017, 12:35:29 PM
And, what procedures could help to reduce the anterior facial height and sclera show?

I did not have sclera show until bad orthodontics and my face colapsed.  Now I am not sure what to do in order to fix the elongated face.   I have no a terrible gum exposure yet still I have: lip incompetence at rest, sclera show at rest, extremely elongated face, no infraorbital support at all, and steep occlusal plane. Chin retruded.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Can someone tell me what is this scleral show OP and others talk about in cases like his?  Like the whites on the sides aren't natural?? I thought scleral show issues came from the whites appearing under the iris or an excessive 'sag' to the sides, which appear non existent or very mild in OP's case IMO.

You have no scleral show.

You have no scleral show.

I was squinting at that pic. Usually I have sclera show at rest. Very mild, yet still before I had zero sclera show at all, now my eyes looks colapsed.

Still... any sugestions about what could help in order to decrease the anterior facial height?

yeah your situation is similar to mine. I think jaw surgery would f**k you up actually but a  lefort 3 might help. Your eyes are fine. I'd go for the lefort 3 with Sinn.

I am making a conscious muscular effort to keep my eye area looks not that off in that photo. I did not take the photo for showing here.  You can cleary appreciate that the midface is absolutely colapsed and with zero infraorbital support.  If I keep relaxed my eyes display mild sclera exposure and upper eyelid exposure too

would you mind elaborating a bit on why jaw surgery could f**k you even more?

So why not post photos that show your problems if you want help?

Zygomatic osteotomy, or implants that go on the zygomatic arch will widen your face and make the mid face appear shorter.

That projection is too damn low.

I have heard zso is being performed with higher mobilization. I am vesting a lot of hope in this.

Your jaws are fine. Your issue is bone structure. First lose weight then maybe think about cheek implants or fillers.

That before-after pic of the zygomatic osteotomy is a terrible result. Projection that low on the midface is feminizing.

The photo shows the problems. That's how my face looks. I can squint WAY more than that and also I did not say that my sclera was important. In some days I don't even have sclera display, yet still the most important thing is the absolutely zero projection of all the midface bones of my face and the way way out of the norm elongated face. If I am not wrong, those things are easily visible in the photo and I have zero interest in trying to somewhat cover or hiding them since of course I am trying to get some help here.

Agree. Before was way better looking than after (if before is in the left).

Yeah way to low, I don't think it is the same procedure that Zarrinbal and Mommaerts do because this looks to have only moved anteriorly.
