Title: Phlegm! When Does it End?!?!
Post by: DolphinBite on June 17, 2013, 02:21:36 PM
Let's talk phlegm. (ok, I know this is so gross!!!)

How long before you weren't coughing up - or blowing out of your nose - bloody/snotty phlegm? I hate this part of the recovery because A) yuck - and B) it hurts like hell to couch with my face so swollen. Wednesday will be 1 week in recovery for me and I'm still all phlegm-y. Anybody remember how long it took for them to get over this stage?

Thanks! I know the ick-factor on this is high!!!

I can't answer that since I haven't had surgery, but I can say that you might possible reduce phlegm by cutting out all dairy and sugar from your diet if you can, simple carbs too. VEGA protein powder is good because it's gluten free etc..
