Title: Everything about ccw rotation
Post by: tretreor on April 08, 2018, 02:46:00 AM
Hi guys. Im interested about knowing all about ccw rotation. Did you have it?
How important is it when lip incompetence, gummy smile is a problem?
Is it enough only with lefort1 and bsso (maybe genio) or is the ccw very important also?

Thanks guys!

CCW is a rotation that CAN BE part of a lefort 1 when someone needs that kind of rotation. The most common example of this rotatation is when the person has a GUMMY smile because the front part of the aveolar maxilla is too long in which case a wedge like shape segment is removed (impaction). The lower jaw also counter rotates with that.

CCW is a rotational DISPLACEMENT done DURING the Lefort 1. It's one of the many displacements that can be done in a Lefort 1 that in turn, effects a rotational displacement of the lower jaw.
