Title: Will maxilla expansion widen the mouth ?

I have a small mouth. I hate it. At rest I look goofy. When I smile it’s normal but at rest it’s like my soft tissue bunches up. People look at my mouth when I talk. Honestly this is making me depressed. I’m hoping upper jaw expansion (widening) will stretch out the mouth a bit, or will it only widen the tooth show when smiling? Ugh
