Title: Genioplasty screws abscessing gums
Post by: JigJaw_:/ on October 26, 2018, 08:40:59 PM
Anyone else experience screw abscess after Genioplasty? Had my Genioplasty last November. No issues thus far, just numbness, up until about two months ago , felt what I thought was calicified bone on my gum area. Until this evening, didn’t think too much of it; normally I leave the area alone. Well, I pulled my lip back, and to my surprise a screw! Freaked me out. I put some photos below. Think they can just take the screw out or will they have to put me to sleep and surgically remove? 😝

Most likely they will be able to remove this under local anesthetic.
