Title: Cusotm implant scans

In order to custom make cheek and jaw implants, is it really necessarily to take a ct scan or would a CTCB scan (cone beam) be enough?

MSCT with 0.3-0.5 mm thick slices.

why 0.3-0.5mm thick slices? Is it possible to make custom implants using a cone beam scan?
