Title: What causes one side of my mouth to look "incompetent" and squashed?
Post by: gob on October 12, 2021, 04:14:44 PM
There's also a more pronounced marionette line on the right side as well, I know my jaws are vertically uneven.  I think I look better with my left profile than the right, but how can this be if both jaws meet at the same point along the chin? Is it the ramus and shape of the right jaw that gives that strangle look? What would you advise for me if possible? Thanks!

BDD or some kind of appearance neurosis where you 'see' things that others don't notice.

A dentist said i had Class 3 malocclusion from what I can recall. I have a slight open bite and a posterior crossbite. It's not entirely BDD. Can you tell me what the issues with my teeth are and how they relate to the jaw?

I can tell you that if you can get the bite fixed with orthodonture alone, then go for it.

So just braces then? The crowding and crossbite isn't caused by something more structural that needs to be addressed?
