Title: Do wisdom teeth NEED to be removed prior to surgery?
Post by: screwsandplates on October 21, 2013, 11:51:35 PM
I'm scheduled to have surgery in January and my wisdom teeth are coming through. My surgeon said that we could either remove them 6 months pre-op or do it post op. Is this dangerous? Like will it get in the way and cause them to slice an artery or something?

I very ill informed on your case but I'd say fight to keep your wisdom teeth, if they will come through healthy, there must be away you can retain them. I had mine taken out for surgery and now I'm thinking that there was no good reason for having them removed.
