Was reading about this today and thought it was a fantastic discovery and idea. Imagine the possibilities, using the umbilical cells for increased surgical healing too (jaw surgery, etc.) Not sure how long the cells will last if cryogenically frozen, but since they said it had implications for Alzheimer's, I imagine for quite some time. I only wish this technology was around when I was born...dammit!
