I have just arranged a consultation for Piet Haers for 7th April, when i spoke to the receptionist she says i will very likely have to have an mri done at a cost of £500! This is a lot of money. However i can get areferal for a 3d cone beam scan done with ct dent i believe is around £200-£250. Would a cone beam scan be enough for him to look at? I don't want to pay for this and then have to do an mri on top.
Any advise would be great, thank you.

Yeah i had surgery but was a failure, the surgeon messed up the operation and i'm still a class 3. When i spoke to the receptionist today, i asked for costs of x rays, she said he may ask for an mri for £500 opg £120 and ceph£120 (which) i already have.
Just don't want to pay twice

Old topic I know but I am off to see Piet Haers next week. If I need an MRI, I will wait to have this done on the NHS. Have you had your surgery with Mr Haers?

Haers is a competent jaw surgeon, but do not go to him for any other kind of aesthetic surgery, especially rhinoplasty.

is it not the same, just a different way of visuallising the files, ie 3d vs slices?
