Title: Small chin/narrow jaws
Post by: whatdo on May 09, 2017, 08:27:48 PM
I have a smaller chin and am worried about the results post jaw surgery from moving the lower jaw forward. Worried about it creating too much of a "pointy" jaw look as is the case when I jut my jaw forward.

Is the only option to do a widening after surgery? Basically opting for implants? Can they not widen with a sliding genio - if that is the case, should I ask the oral surgeon?

I imagine this is only further made worse with narrower jaws like mine, but will the bimax make the jaws seem even narrower? What can I realistically do to widen the jaw and chin??

Interesting. Do you think they'd do this during a bimax?
