dream patient, unsatisfactory outcome?

I wish Dr Alfaro operated here. He was my favorite of all the surgeons I consulted. The flight is 15 hours, different country, ... just too much.

How did you get 15 hours from America to Spain?  Anyway, I'm considering an 18 hour flight for my op.  But at least the language would be the same.

I just put it into kayak? You're traveling 18 hours for which surgery? What if there's a problem, how you going to get to the doctor in time?

I remember Lazlo  saying that it your having surgery abroad it's good to have a local surgeon who's on the same page/ just in case. Not sure if this is possible though?

If you are in the UK, could one not get surgery done in another country where it's really cheap and if anything goes wrong, you just go to the hospital and have them fix it as an emergency. (free due to the NHS)

I didn't look too hard but good luck finding a surgeon who wants to be backup. These guys don't make money removing plates. They make money doing procedures.
