I have pre-consultation dilemma- please read - important
« on: April 15, 2016, 07:39:36 AM »
What to think about that surgeon. If you want his name PM me
I already booked the consultation with him. He acts little strange for me. Should I cancel ?

My conversation with a surgeon:

Surgeon answer

I have finished university exams many years ago!  This question sounds to me a bit annoying!
Your whole story is getting boring for me and making me lose a lot of time.
So the only way to be able to give You an answer is a direct visit in my clinic.

My message:

Dear Prof. XXXXX

So , fortunately we have appoitment soon.

By the way. Could You tell me if you perform zygomatico-maxillary osteotomies ? It’s not common procedure.
I mean I do not know if I need this or not, we are going to talk about that on the consultation  – I prefer to explain to not be understood wrongly again.

However I would feel much better, If I knew, that I will be examined by a surgeon  who feels confident in this area  (orbito-zygomatico-maxillary). In that case your opinion will be very important for me. You know, as far I was examined by the local doctors who do not do such surgeries and their opinions were so kinda unsafe / dubious. They gave me nothing. I just was feeling if even I needed that surgery they would tell me, that I do not need, just because they are afraid to do that.
That is the point of my question. I hope You understand me. My English is not perfect

Please answer

Kind Regards

Exactly, he's not turning you away, but he's kind of being rude... to discourage you from going to see him. He obviously sees you as a 'difficult patient'. It's best to be as upbeat and confident, however hard it is. Just get the facts you need, and try to keep your emotions out of it, people will respond to you much better this way.
