Dr. Barry Eppley
« on: July 10, 2016, 02:21:42 AM »
I'm curious why don't people ever consult or get surgery from Dr. Barry Eppley?

On his site he does some very challenging things like orbital rim implants, even evening out of the orbits and maxillofacial type work. Why doesn't anyone ever consult or use him? Is there something I don't know? I heard something about a woman who killed herself after a face-lift gone bad --but okay that could have been anything just a real outlier --especially since he writes articles with pretty in-depth knowledge. Also that woman might have just been insane.

i think its just because he uses implants, and most here aren't a fan of the implants. but if your after them, then he's defiantely one of the guys to see. and i think that woman actaully was insane too, (well, some sort of mental dissorder at least). also, almost every surgeon (especially plasic surgeons) will have bad reviews. it was simply a bad facelift that got lots of exposure because she killed herself. (my opinion)

i'm definately seeing him after i get my osteotomies tho, gonna get implants on almost my whole skull. come at me brahs :D

well he's been writing about HA paste a lot too. And doing augmentation on orbital rims etc. with that so that's why I was interested. We're in the same boat bro let's push it to the limit! lol

I dunno, I definitely researched him and did a simple e-mail consult (which is kinda cool he answered questions in that fashion).  He does so many types of procedures, I think I feel comfortable with a specialist.  I've heard some negativity as well about the fact that he just copies a bunch of research from other people?  Not sure about any of it though...

I consulted Dr Eppley. It was like $100 for 15min I think. He's really nice. He's also trained as an oral surgeon. I can tell you more but in private.

I'm also skeptical about that woman. I don't like to blame mental disorders since they're often symptoms of other problems. I think she had other issues to begin with and she was probably not a good surgical candidate that he may have missed. My guess is she would have had problems anyway and he's getting blamed for it.
