Liposkill-Is it going to revolutionize plastic surgery?!
« on: July 15, 2016, 03:15:00 PM »
GOOD EVENING,

I AM LESTAT.

About Liposkill: Please check my links! It seems to be an advancement of classical fat transfer (Coleman tecnique), because the survival of fat cells ("take"-rate) is higher and the result more predictable.

Please let me know what do you think about it!

Only marketing? I think that with this tecnique more fat cells survive the transfer and this is great because you will have a predictable result. With traditional fat transfer you will sometimes need three or also four touch ups to achieve your desired result and I do not have the time to do a fat transfer every single months.

Well I'm not sure what you are saying is new here.  It has been known that fat contains a large number of stem cells for some time now.  Some doctors use marketing spin words like 'stem cell fat grafting' to sell their procedure which is the same as everyone else's.  Some doctors have tried separating the ADSC's or adding PRP or any number of other combinations.  So far there isn't a large enough sample size to confirm any of this really helps.

Sorry man, but you had me going there for a second...

this is the wrong forum for this topic, we should talk about structure not softtisue.

the future of skin renewal is getting the body to produce cologan and revive elasticity, there is a lot of interesting research going on, see attached, but it is still a couple years away. fat cells are an inferior host because they are so ficcle. the doctor that fixed kobe s knee and dana white s ear is also working hard on this.

Wow that's pretty cool.  I've read about prp only injections before but didn't think they would produce long lasting results.  I wonder if this technique will ever be expanded to medium/larger volumes.

Yeah, this is the jaw surgery forums specifically, so I see that some might find it not on topic.  I do think soft tissue would often complement a jaw surgery procedure ideally.  Also, there are far more level headed people on these boards than most if not all :)

Good morning. You are Lestat!

I am Lazlo! I don't see what is new here in this abstract. Okay they put something they're calling PRP that will aid the surgery. Where are the before and afters? I don't believe there's anything new here. Just adding a term PRP etc. to make it sound more cutting edge. But where are the results?
