Reviving an old issue/thread
« on: April 19, 2018, 07:27:57 PM »
Hi everyone,

I posted on here 2-3 years ago regarding getting jaw surgery. The consensus at the time was that I needed MMA CCW surgery. After consulting with some surgeons in my Canadian city at the time, it was clear to me that nobody there was going to do that surgery. I've since moved to Toronto and have finally received a sleep apnea diagnosis (severe when I'm on my back). I have a consult with Dr. Tocchio in June. My concern is that no surgeon I've heard of in Canada adequately addresses the TMJ issue to ensure a stable result. I definitely have a TMJ issue...it showed up when I was a young teenager and seems to have stabilized, but there is still clicking/popping/shifting on one side (no pain). Any thoughts? I can afford to get the surgery done in Canada, but the US is out of my budget by a long shot (Wolford, etc.). Am I doomed to just use CPAP for the rest of my life or until I win the lottery? I have attached my ceph.
