How many millimeters of maxillary central iincisor do you display at rest?

With < 1 mm of gum show, I highly doubt you have VME.

The hallmark of VME is the GUMMY SMILE and not the long philtrum. Besides, all you have to do is find a maxfax doc who does (stand alone) genioplasties as a separate procedure independant of bi-max surgery or a maxfax who also offers cosmetic procedures in additon to bi-max surgery and you don't even need a dentist referral. Once you are there consulting about a possible 'stand alone' genio, you then have a 'shoe in door' to inquire possible full maxfax surgery.

If the main problem is the philtrum, you could get a lip lift.

You didn't give enough information to assess whether or not you have VME. There are many pieces to the puzzle, and you only provided a couple.

As others have pointed out, it's unusual to have VME with negative gingival display, but if the upper lip is excessively long, it'd be possible. How long is you upper lip in total (from subnasal to the bottom of your upper lip)?

The best way to clinically evaluate VME is to (hypothetically) normalize upper lip length, tooth eruption, and crown length, and THEN note the incisor show at rest.
