When did he offer to refund? If he did, of course he should.
He never did. He said it was an option that he would look into. Not a promise or guarantee.
This whole thing has turned into a bulls**t witch hunt, especially with the people now coming in who claim to have seen it on facebook(
), demanding a refund from Mew yet only have a post count of 5-10. All he ever said was this:

It would seem fair to me that you should give a sensible reason for a refund. Despite the clear opinion of some people on this site we struggle, ?150 would be greatly noticed.
This has nothing to do with being a "man of his word" as you're twisting it to be. He made his position very clear in his first posts.
Moreover, the problem isn't even Mews problem as far as I can tell. It's the surgeon. It's just their advice wasn't enough to rectify the problems. Backward Lowerjaw said this:

Disillusioned, you are right the person who f***ed up was the surgeon, the thing is after the operation you have to sit there while they tell their whole team how much of a great job they have you tell them your concerns it falls on deaf ears, he would not listen to what I had to say I also explained all the to my ortho again nothing they pass it off as if it is in your head. Do you think I enjoy going around the whole country looking for answers? There's obviously a problem with my body if i'm doing this. I wouldn't be doing it for fun. You know your own body and you know if it not right. I knew as soon as I woke up from the surgery something was not right my upper jaw felt back I knew i was still a class 3.
When I started posturing my jaw further out i knew i was onto something because my breathing improved my tongue went up to the palette my concentration was better, this is all linked to the position of the jaw if this is in the wrong position none of the mechanincs will work in harmony with the rest of the body.
I went to see Mike and his father for their opinion to find out what the problem was and their advice, what I am saying Disillusioned is advice was given. Mike I understand from your side it can be frustrating to hear this but I am being honest I appreciate you coming on this forum and giving your side of the story.
Even if you want to say their opinions on tongue positioning and diet are bulls**t, that their advice didn't fix the problem (even though it would take years, if ever, to correct problems using their method), I can't see how this warrants THEM being at fault. If that were the case I should be entitled to refunds on every maxfac consult I've ever had since they all recommended BSSO's when I was never a candidate to begin with.
And why would you even see an ortho for the problems you apparently have?
Is the pain not ultimately the result of botched surgery, even if you want to make the case that their posturing advice is what caused some pain?
If you feel he gave poor advice that is not grounds for a refund. You paid for their time and opinions as they were given to you. If you disagree afterwards then you're free to not recommend them. Only a case of negligence would warrant discussion of money, in which case it should be more than just a refund!
The only way I see it being justified is if you can get the professional opinion of another maxfac surgeon or ortho to state that it was explicitly the result of jaw posturing and their bad advice that caused the pain.
