While aesthetics are subjective, there is a grouping that lies within a normal range, and your perception is outside of that. I think your image of ideal is off. Either that or I greatly underestimate the negative perception of change, even when the change itself is positive. That Asians tend to like softer features could be partially to blame... I saw a couple before/afters of people who shaved down their strong jawlines only to look uglier. Didn't make sense to me.
Even with the swelling, you look much better after surgery.
Edit: I'll add that I'd personally be concerned that my chin wasn't advanced enough if I was you.
