Surgeons Australia
« on: September 01, 2017, 07:08:33 PM »
Hi I am due for double jaw surgery in a few months and am looking for recommendations for a good surgeon in Australia. My surgeon 👨‍⚕️ has retired who was going to complete the surgery and now have to decide where I will have the operation done. The new surgeon who has taken over his position only has a few years experience so I am a bit worried about using him to complete the operation.

Paul Coceancig

Again, a public service announcement, but he once joined the forum and kept telling everyone they needed bi-max, even if they didn't and/or were borderline cases. He was belligerent on email when I called him out for being irresponsible for diagnosing people online.

Not sure about the other guy.

theres also a few dual qualified plastic surgeons in Australia who do jaw surgery as well

One of them is Guy watts in Perth.

Bear in mind, these are not "recommendations" just names I have come across. Generally I would think you are better going to a specialist than a generalist if you have functional issues.
