Conflicting studies on IVRO and SSRO anyone help?

Can anyone shed light on this subject. These two papers are conflicting whether IVRO decreases gonial angle or increases it.
This study is stating IVRO increased the gonial angle and the mandibular plane angle more than SSRO

This one says it decreased both more than SSRO
