Titanium jaw implants
« on: August 06, 2020, 03:28:06 AM »
Is custom titanium jaw implants better over peek implants? I am trying to fix a previous surgery and completely exhausted with the research. I have consulted with several surgeon who does custom implants but none could really show my any before and after photos. Has anyone has this done?

Titanium is actually better for someone who's LOST an entire jaw or a jaw joint than as something to overlay to augment an existing jaw because it's not going to matter much if it's a small to tiny amount off. But if it's a small amount off for a custom aesthetic face implant, there's NO leeway to kind of squeeze it tight to fit the area as would an implant that is NOT metal based. So, I would not say a titanium implant is 'better' for aesthetics only ONLAY cases.
