10mm linear advancement of both jaws for sleep apnea with Alfi.

Thanks for sharing! Just to clarify, this is a different case from the one in the first comment right?

Nonetheless, impressive that she pulled of 10mm linear advancement in the maxilla and still looks good. In addition to that, she didnt even look overly recessed in the first place. I wonder if it really was 10mm.

What makes her look good and the example from the first comment in this thread, overadvanced?

Yeah, it's an entirely different case.

>If the op plane is flat and the linear advancement is indicated and done moderately, the chimp face can be avoided?
Her case was an example of this. She said she had severe sleep apnea, so she needed to be advanced at least 10mm.

her case is an absolutely mystery. She didnt look recessed beforehand and was only proposed 10mm (!??) liinear advancement in both jaws, because of OSA and somehow didnt turn out disfigured. 10mm is by no means modereately, its pretty excessive, especially in the maxilla. But she actually looks good?

How exactly do you know the correct distance that the maxilla should be advanced? Is there some kind of line or plane or benchmark that indicates where the maxilla should be?
