Will bioreactor grown bone grafts ever come to fruition?

Feeling a bit down / depressed now...

As a person who doesn't have a background in this field, I was wondering what are the limitations / challenges of significantly adding more bone to places in places where a person is deficient? i.e., if someone has a lacking forehead that is poorly shaped, what is holding us back from adding more mass there? Is it that we haven't cracked the creation of the right material that would work with our bodies there (i.e. w.r.t. rejection, vascularization, preventing the body from reabsorbing it)? Is it limited by surgical techniques to allow us to create a pocket and augment an area without creating noticeable scarring, etc.?
