Turbinate reduction

Any of you mouth Breathers out there having a turbinate reduction along with your jaw surgery at the same time?   Or already had that procedure.

Be careful... turbinate reduction can have some unpleasant side-effects that are all too common.

Can you guys clarify what form of turbinate reduction? The mucosa itself is highly innervated and obviously plays a vital role in the respiratory tract. Any thoughts on the minimally invasive submucosal techniques? Unfortunately it's not always a matter of deviated septum or narrow jaws. Turbinate hypertrophy is not an easy thing to fix...

I was very close to having turbinate reduction surgery. I ended up just having a plate removed instead. I can breathe fine now. I'm so glad I didn't have to have any type of nasal surgery.

I had my turbinates removed when I was I think 11 and my premolars extracted when I was 12, so that's a f**king double whammy.
