That's a new product I hadn't heard of. I don't think of HA as degrading except in bone, where it can become integrated into the bone. I suspect it mostly degrades with some particles left in surrounding tissue, which is maybe close enough. So the plates will still be there but not anchored to bone. That seems like a weird feeling to me to have afterwards. In any case, I wouldn't mess with it. I've spoken to enough surgeons now to understand the need for conservatism here. You want the process that's time tested and worked for 30 years. Let other people be the Guinea Pigs.
