Are orbital rim deficiencies a risk factor for dry eyes? At one point my opthalmologist said my eyelids didn't close all the way but I had bad blepharitis at the time. I moved, it got better, and now I'm told that they close again. I was playing with my face today and noticed that if I push my midface up to provide more support, my facial muscles don't have to work so hard to keep my eyes from drying out. That led me to wonder whether dry eyes are a side effect of orbital rim deficiency. I can't find anything online about it, which seems strange to me because in extreme cases I would think it'd be a real problem. My Optho disagrees but I seem to still suffer from it (or perhaps I'm just dependent on Restasis now, don't know).
I don't show any sclera in my pictures, though it's close. I'd guess in 1-2 decades they'd start to show a tad. I've sent them before but PM me for pics and provide your feedback. Thanks!
