this girl over at JSB who had upper jaw surgery had her plates removed to help reduce the size of the nose? wth? anyone heard of this before? wouldn't it be easier to get a rhinoplasty?

god, this surgery just leads to horror story after horror story. first, plates? we were all in agreement that plates are bulls**t and you should get screws right? And if plates were contributing to the size of her nose, then no having them removed is a WAY better option. 99 percent of rhinoplasty results  look horrible beyond belief --esp. after the 2 year mark when you start to see alar base retraction and pinched nose and s**t --it's grotesque! Why would anyone risk that? Also, none of the doctor's photos ever show this but open rhinoplasty(which is the way to do it accurately) leaves the worst scars you can imagine. To reduce width you have to get a f**king alar base reduction and you don't even want to know what those scars look like. If removing
