Nobody here knows a thing, it's a very obscure procedure and only Eppley has written about it. I encourage you to please do research

Mommaerts has something about this (reducing the temporal muscles). Pretty sure Korean surgeons do this.  Not sure if it's a great idea TBH.

Do you guys really think Eppley would claim "no risk" if there was significant risk? Idk. Transsexuals do have their adam's apples shaved routinely... Maybe this is just not a common concern hence the lack of data.

Anyway , OP , you should try to find some of Dr E's ex patients who went through this. Not easy but would help u.

Is there any type of surgery that can narrow your head shape?

There's 2 doctors that do it apparently, but I couldn't find any other doctors beside them that offer this.
So a little skeptical, but am curious.

Aren't the Korean style surgeries ones that narrow head?
cheekbone reduction
zygoma reduction
Google it...
Here is one for example:
http://www.tlplasticsurgery.com/before-after-male-plastic-surgeryjaw-reductionzygoma-reductionchin-osteotomyhump-reduction-tipplasty-suture/

(It seems that my PS did something like one of those Koreat head flattening procedures to my head and also defattened my face without my consent. It looks awful and will age fast as soon as the too tight top skin relaxes. My idea of an attractive female head has fullness around upper cheeks, fat on lateral neck and nice brow bones that support eyelids etc.)
Here is what Dr Timothy J Marten MD of marten clinic of plastic surgery did to me and something more:

Interesting, why do you think think it wouldn't be though?

Apparently that's what I hear they can do.
Eppley isn't a korean surgeon though.

So he did both without your consent, or just defattened your face?
Seems like that could result in a lawsuit if he did it without permission??

I'm not female, but nice to know!

I have never met Eppley, thus it was not him.

Here is a picture that you can click and see what happens with these korean style surgeries:
http://www.asianplasticsurgeryguide.com/beforeafter/wideface.html
The head narrows quite a bit.

(I'm still waiting for the doctor tell me what exactly happened since my face is so much smaller... I assume that not a complete korean surgery was done, but some sort of elimination of fats and bones, that look like the "korean style".)

Interesting, thanks for the share.
Did you have it done in Korea, or in the USA?

In USA and I did not ask for it, but my face looks like if something like those procedures were done to me. No cheekbones eg. were cracked broken, but seems like they were burred flat. I did not ask my face shape to be altered, but it looks to have a lot different shape now.
I don't know what happened yet and the doctor is unwilling to let me talk with the OR staff... In the internet they write that he lies and he just lost 95% of a ~6 million case in court.

What did you go in for to begin with?
And did you find out about these lawsuits before or after?

You need to look into an attorney if you're serious about it.
Performing unauthorized procedures is not okay, unless you gave him permission through contract.

There's lots of big worded explanations on posterior temporal muscle, that's what Eppley would be cutting/reducing.
Sounds like it would be bad to mess with, apparently it controls jaw movement.

Found this video explanation on it, Venito (first commenter on video) asked about Eppley's procedure.
The video maker didn't act like it was dangerous when he replied to his comment though.

Isn't Eppley the old guy who killed that woman?
