Hair Transplant for Eyebrows?
« on: July 18, 2017, 11:45:11 AM »
Anyone have Eyebrow Hair Transplant done, and get good results?

Would like to get one done for my very light, almost non-existent eyebrows.
I hear the FUE method is the best choice?

I did, I think I will need a second one, so that's a disappointment.

What type of hair was used? I'm wondering if leg hair would be better than head hair.

For what did grow in, is the difference cosmetically beneficial?

I feel like generally head hair is better, but usually the doctor will know whats best.

Yes, FUE.

Did you have it done in the USA?
The big names of doctors who do these Hair Transplants are Dr. Marc Dauer, and Dr. Jeffrey Epenstein apparently.

I think that the doctor may  at least sometimes base his or her recommendation on what they are comfortable doing, as opposed to what is best.

For me, my leg hair looks much more similar to my eyebrow hair than does my scalp hair.

Yeah I think whatever hair would match best is what would be used.

Here's what a hair surgeon I asked about it said:

"Body hair would be a very poor match for most people to replace eyebrow hair. The best hair is usually from the bottom of the hairline at the back of the neck.  There are some patients where there are no good donor sites to match eyebrow hair"

I was thinking about it too some time ago because I got a bald spot there from a scar I think. But what if you take FUE from the front neck which would be like beard hair, are the FUE scars big and noticable?

FUE leaves no linear scar in the donor region.
Just small dots that are not visible unless the hair is shaved down to the skin.

Have no clue about using beard hair though.
Usually the hair on your head is whats used.

I wonder what the scars would look like on bare skin like the neck. I can't seem to find any photos of it for donor hair from the body post-surgery.

Probably nothing too noticeable.

Europe, 3k$ for 500-600 FUE eyebrow transplant, it's expensive, because the procedure is very long.  big name you mean those who have SEO optimized nice looking websites?

Mine used chest hair and sides of head, because it was most similar to my eyebrow hair. I'm fine with how the transplanted hair looks, but I expected more density. The result can still improve though.

No noticeable scars in chest region for me.

Why so much less in Europe compared to the US? (I've been quoted higher, more like $6,000 - $8,000 for FUE)
I assume you live in Europe? (not trying to get personal, only ask because of price difference)

My bad, should of rewrote that question.
Spent a ton of time researching/reviewing hair surgeons who specialize in this. (which the best in the US were Dr. Marc Dauer & Dr. Jeffrey Epstein)

Interesting they used hair from 2 different areas.
Why wouldn't they just use hairs from only a single area in your case?

Did they use the FUE technique on you?
Do you have a before/after, if you don't mind me asking?
