So questionable results notwithstanding I was at least happy with the reduction of my gummy smile, incisor display at rest and incisor display while speaking. In recent days however I have gotten into this cycle of freaking out, thinking that I am relapsing(showing more incisor at rest, more gum during smiling, etc.) every time I look in the mirror until around 9-10 pm when things start to look better again. Is it even possible for a maxillary impaction to relapse vertically?(I know high angle cases can relapse but that is usually from the mandible not the maxilla). Im guessing it has to do with swelling, but then the question is, which one is the swollen state(you would think a swollen state would be worse earlier in the day, but you would also think it would mask VME more)? I could also just be seeing things that arent there. I dont think I am, but it is possible. The mental battle in recovery is far more exhausting than the physical one.
