I was involved in an accident two years ago which left me with fractured condylar part of the mandible (right side). As the mandible healed, I have lost some vertical length of the condyle and my lower teeth are slightly canted.
Now my right side of the jaw look slightly bigger and my hollow cheeks are less visible. I don’t know if it’s the bone problem or Masseter hypertrophy due to canted bite and chewing food evenly.
I’ve seen two oral surgeons and they both said lower jaw surgery is not worth the risks to correct such a small asymmetry.
They have suggested fillers instead to unaffected side to match the size of affected jaw but I like my unaffected side more and would like it to match.
Would botox to the Masseter reduce the size of it enough to make it look symmetrical again?
