I feel its disingenuous for surgery centers to post before and afters like this. It looks to me like she got an amazing result regardless of the trickery.

Based on the bottom banner, I believe this is an Alfaro result, for anyone wondering.

It looks like lighting, makeup, hair, eye squinting, a rhino, etc... can't objectively tell what was done vs got camouflaged by all of the above. Deceptive and yet convinces the masses to go consult with him.

These are serious medical procedures. I feel a bit scared regarding how this is marketed. Anything but before and after pictures taken with same conditions should be acceptable. These pictures almost never show the bite in detail either, which should be the primary goal for a serious surgeon.

But yes, it looks like a good result. What do you think about the area around neck and shoulders, looks like much sharper lines. Is this depending on lightning and how the head is tilted, or something else? These are subtle changes in the picture that makes the overall impression better, but not necessarily an effect of the surgery.

This was the biggest thing for me. That is a big deal. My first thought was that she had some filler under her eyes.

Hard to opine on the marketing in absence of context of how photo was presented. An IMGUR image of just the photo does not tell us much. Can you put up a link to the CONTEXT of the photo presentation.

Too much content on his site for me to search for where on it the photo is found other than to say he lists that he does a bunch of cosmetic procedures similar to what PSs do. So, she may have had more than just the jaw balancing surgery.

Outright bogus. 
Easy to tell. 

Compare the horizontal distance from the centerline of her neck to the outer edge of her jaw in the picture at left - -   then do the same with the picture at the right.

On the left, she has a thick neck compared to her facial dimensions.   Very different on the right.

This is utter rubbish. Even without jaw surgery and the right make-up and filters etc. you could have made the girl on the left look pretty.

It's not even trickery, the girl was pretty and made to pose dull and photographed front on. The second is just what every ugly-ho instagram model does to make themselves look hot. This isn't even worth talking about.

Yeah fine, and probably has a decent result from that. But it's not what make that after pic look so glam. Its the manipulation, make-up and rest.

Setting people up to be very disappointed in his surgery. But I guess that's OK with him, the gunson-level prices he likes to charge US patients probably helps him afford lawsuits.

Why do surgeons not keep things consistent? well some do but cases like this are just awful. No consistency at all between the pictures.

I think the answer is simple. 
Really good surgeons who have solid practices - - do not do that.   

You have to have a fundamentally "dishonest" state of mind (character) to do that.

Secondary to that overriding issue, the legitimate board certification organizations ALL have ethical rules that clearly  state that presenting results in unrealistic manner, is an ethical violation.
