Well the story is a little bit embarassing. Basically i visited an ortho in the beginning of last year, who made this scan. He told me that usually my situation requires surgery, without going into detail what exactly the surgery would be. He just said it is brutal and risky and he has a better alternative, which is the growth appliance "AGGA", to "grow the jaw in a 3D-way". At this point in time there was not much information about agga out and the only information that was available was positive, so i agreed. Fast forward i am almost finished with the appliance and during this time a lot of people finished the procedure with negative results and the general consensus is that it only moves the teeth a little bit along the occlusal plane, which does nothing for a steep plane, in fact it can even lenghten the midface. Even though i am not completly finished i can confirm this and the aesthetic benefit is minimal. It did not talk with my ortho about a potential surgery afterwards yet, because i wanted an unbiased opinion.
