Genioplasty/jaw implants/chin implant removal

So my friend got a surgical quote from a surgeon in NYC. She's getting her old chin implant removed and a genioplasty, as well as custom jaw implants. Her surgical quote given was $63,750.00. Which is obscenely high. However her surgeon gave her a "professional discount" (bulls**t business tactic) and the new quote came out to $47,600.00

These surgeons are just getting greedy at this point.

This is why we don't discuss price on the forum. Patients discussing price are doing themselves and future patients a disservice.

Thats true. However, if a surgeon will price gouge he's also screwing himself bc nobody in their right mind will pay that. If you're educated you'll know when a surgeon is jerking you for a fool.

In the NYC area I'd consult with Sachs.

Yes.

And that's tough to say. In general, we see genios in conjunction with jaw surgery. Rarely see them in isolation here.
I'll think about it and look through my notes to see if anyone stands out.

The only person, from memory, who had genio alone was a girl named angelstrings. She was from Alaska. I believe she used Relle and loved the results. I saw the photos, and she did look good. This was probably 8 years ago, so it's all from memory and a bit blurry. Maybe send her a PM.

I can't think of anyone else who had genio only, nor did I find much in my notes.

Yikes! Take an antihistamine and maybe put an ice pack on it. I heard  mixing water with baking soda to  form a paste helps!

ridiculous price. you can find a lot of top surgeons who would do that for 25 grand all in including aftercare and hospital fees. run, don't walk.

Very greedy. I don't think there's any surgeon who's skilled with custom jaw implants.

Definitely not going to Eppley, Yaremchuck, Jacono , Jason Diamond, Or Dhir. I think the best surgeons don't need to advertise but hard to find.
