Stable Results of DO vs BSSO
« on: January 08, 2023, 12:39:25 PM »
I have an overbite of 4mm and my orthodontist recommended I should do a Distraction Osteogenesis Procedure of my mandible instead of a BSSO, to avoid a more invasive surgery. In past posts I have picked up that this forum is slightly against DO.

What exactly is the argument against DO versus BSSO? Studies that I have read indicate that results seem identical and similarly stable: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25595452/
