Testing Chin wing!
« on: March 03, 2016, 03:08:58 PM »
hey y'all!

So by now we all pretty much know that chin wing is an effective measure to provide a somewhat improvement to the lower third. But is it possible to achieve that defined and trimmed jawline we want with the chin wing and no implants'?

I had a wonderful improvement with my first chin wing, now i'll have a touch up to see if it's possible to pass from average to more than average.

This, is more in general, the problem of cosmetic/orthognatic surgery: going from deformed to normal is, if not easy, possible. The same cannot be said when aiming at improving some feature from average to better than average; while not impossible it seems, at least, unlikely to happen.

I will have my surgery very soon and in 2 months from now i'll be able to draw the first conclusions.

I'll keep you guys posted, feel free to ask me any questions!

You look good now.  You said you have no numbness after a chin wing and a Bimax before that.  Do you really want to risk your nerves for a few mms?

I don't have anything to comment regarding chin wings, but I very much agree with this.

Dr. Z? I'm going there this summer for a CW.

How much lateral projection can you achieve on each side? What kind of projections did you have? Can a CW also correct a somewhat crooked chin?

Interesting, what you wrote earlier really put me off implants for augmentation and  I've had my eyes on this procedure for a while.

One thing I'm concerned about is the gonial angle. In many before/afters it seems to become sloped rather than angular.
