Yeah OP your mandible is retrognathic. Your head is tilted up in your profile photos and is also not square with your shoulders in that you are turning to the side away from your camera which pulls the camera-side skin a little tighter. Your neck probably appears "fleshier" in person or on video. That your lower lip curls so far forward yet your chin has decent projection given your labiomental fold is telling. Your upper incisors are retroclined and I'm assuming your lowers are proclined. I'll bet your overjet, if you were to have ortho decompensation, would not be insignificant.
Is this affecting your health? IDK. Is it taking away from your facial attractiveness? Yeah, to some extent it is.
Edit-
Yes, you will want/need to wait to have surgery. You've got some time to go, unfortunately, probably a few years. But the good news is twofold:
1) If needed, it may not be too late to get some expansion done without surgery. I'm admittedly not sure if the age cutoff for males. I'd find a good ortho in your area and consult ASAP.
2) You're going to be good looking post-op.
Yep kjohnt, you're right on the money. You're 100% correct about my bite, the bottom of my upper incisors basically give my lower lip support lol.
My head is minimally turned up in the photos, surprisingly for 25% bodyfat, my neck isn't very fleshy at all (compared to when I was 10% bodyfat it is though). I store a lot of fat in my legs, buttocks, abdomen and arms.
I've already visited my local Ortho (traditional Ortho concerned only with smile fixing and disregarding jaw position and aesthetics, recommended by my dentist) and said that since my teeth are straight and they aren't causing me any problems, there's no point in working on them (He measured a 3mm overjet btw).
The position of my jaw and teeth has taken away from my looks to some extent, but now that I've thought about it more I think that I can live with it and that I'll be fine. Either that or I'll revisit this conversation when I'm in my twenties. Do you think that post-op will be VERY significant? And what procedures do you think I would have to undergo?
Edit: I'd need my pallette expanded? I already have a good palette but maybe you could tell me something I don't know? It wouldnt need to be something drastic like SARPE, right?
