Jaw Surgery Suggestion (x-rays)

So these x-rays are from a few years back and were taken at the Orthodontist office right before I started my braces.
He never brought up needing any type of orthognathic surgery, and just put the braces on.
My teeth are straight now, but it seems like my lower jaw is recessed.
Do you think braces should have been followed by jaw surgery?

What's the business with your wisdom teeth, did you have them removed since that x-ray was taken? The lower ones look like they're erupting sideways which doesn't bode well for your other teeth.

No still have the lower ones in, about to get them taken out about in a few weeks.
When I went to the dentist last week he said you could actually see the lower ones, because they've orrupted out.
